MPS Outing: Light-painting workshop, Mitcham
March 23 @ 6:00 am - 10:00 pm
Join the the club’s light-painting gurus, Ron Berger and Roger Frost, for a workshop at the historic Schwerkolt Cottage complex in Mitcham.
The focus will be on light-painting the historic buildings (exterior only!) on the site but there are also opportunities with orchard trees, the Mullum Mullum Creek and even the nearby Eastern portal tower of the Eastlink Freeway tunnel.
It’s a Friday so we can meet at 6pm and make use of the barbecues on site. There are also toilets and a kids’ playground.
After dinner, as the sun sets, Ron and Roger will lead workshops setting out the basics of light-painting and break up into groups or singles to practice the art.
No experience? No problem. Ron recommends a good tripod, a strong LED torch (he suggests buying this model at www.ebay.com/itm/262925673468#shpCntId for just $10.53 incl post, be sure to select Package C), and a wireless remote or a helper to trip the camera shutter.
To notify of your attendance email email@example.com not later than 16 March.
