Outing – Mt Donna Buang snow
Mount Donna Buang is a mountain in the southern reaches of the Victorian Alps of the Great Dividing Range, approximately 80 kilometres from Melbourne. It has an elevation of 1,250 metres, and is the closest snowfield to Melbourne.
Hopefully there should be lovely light snow cover on the ferns and under the trees. On the trip back down from the snowline we will visit a forest walk suspended above the forest floor.
Dress for warmth take lunch and a thermos for a hot drink. We will leave Melbourne at around 9.00. Car pooling is encouraged.
